¾" thick cypress, pine, or poplar:
(2) sides: 30" × 12"
(2) ends: 12" × 12"
(1) bottom: 30" × 12"
(1) lid: 30" × 13" (overhang)
Wood glue
Cut nails or pegs (optional)
Hinges and clasp (optional)

Ryoba saw or handsaw
Chisels
Hammer
Square
Plane
Build Instructions
Join the Box
Use rabbets and nails or dowels for joinery.
Bottom is recessed with grooves.
Make the Lid
Slight overhang; slide-fit or hinged.
Optional battens to prevent warping.
Interior Organization
Add tool holders or trays as needed.
Finish
Use oil or leave natural.
