Segmented turning lets you build up rings of wood into a blank that's both beautiful and stable.
Materials
Hardwood strips (maple, walnut, cherry), 3/4" thick
Wood glue
Compass or circle jig
Tools Needed
Miter saw with stop block
Disc sander or shooting board

Glue Into Rings
Use band clamps. Ensure tight miters. Clamp until dry.
Stack and Glue Rings
Alternate grain and colors for visual appeal. Align carefully.
